Looking to put together a setup for transporting gasoline for my airplane (once I'm done building it). I've been looking on Northern Tool at the pumps and tanks they ahve available but it's a pretty wide variety and was wondering if anyone had experience with this sort of thing.

I need about 60-70 gallons and I'll be powering the pump via deep-cycle battery.

The all-in-one unit like this (https://www.northerntool.com/produc...angular-diamond-plate-8-gpm-model-73326-39590) is attractive in that it all stows away, but it makes for awkward access and a short hose. An exposed one is more obvious but allows a meter and filter and longer hose to be attached. Do the "exposed" pump etc. cause problems by being parked out in the rain?

We all haul 50 to 150 gallon tanks of diesel in our pickups this time of year to keep farm machinery running. Weather has no effect on the pump or tank. Gasoline is regulated more and carries additional hazards over diesel. Some tanks are rated for diesel but not gasoline. You might look into Enduraplas Plastic tank/pump combinations. They make a nice neat all in one solution.
