Transmission / differential holder

Attach this to your OTC engine stand and you have a transmission holder that rotates with the stand. I guess you could use it for differentials, too. Anyone have something similar they use, maybe a benchmount unit? I'm thinking of ordering this one - I think it will come in handy as long as those bolt holes are a decent size.

I think that one is actually made to bolt against a bench to hold the transmission case for easier reassembly. As for rear ends, usually done in the vehicle. In the case of an out of car differential/axles, two jack stands hold the assembly well.

I've never had much luck with holding a differential out of the car, but your point is well taken - do it in the car, if possible.

Don't forget 9" ford, 8 3/4 Mopar, OP GM, and so many more drop out types!
