How many guys with loaded boxes have emptied their tools out to move the box? Is this a common practice? Has anyone had any actual damage to their box from keeping them loaded while making a move?

i moved my kr 550/555 in the back of my '85 bronco, took me 2 days

removed the drawers from the roller, laid the roller cab on it's back, and stuffed loaded drawers everyplace else.
removed the drawers from the top chest also.

had help at work to unload, but no help for loading.

by the time i needed to move the other boxes, i had a pickup and utlity trailer.

I've only had to move my tool box twice in 18 years...Both times my Snap On dealer transported it.

When I moved mine I rented a 28' box truck with a liftgate and loaded it strapped it down and unloaded it by myself. It was $70 for the truck with insurance. This is a classic 78 fully loaded.

Still rather pay someone else (licensed and bonded tow service) $50 to $75 to move my box, if only for the fact that if there is any damage during transport it's covered.
