I can't help you too much but I will say that you should state what's at each end for loading/unloading capabilities. Also, it sounds like the box is empty?

Toolbox will be empty. Just trying to get ideas on the logistics component. I want to ship one to Australia. I have been in contact with a company in Australia that moves cars and other goods from the U.S to Australia and they've given me a super good quote. I need to solve the 'how to get box from U.S buyer' to warehouse in a reasonably economical fashion. If necessary, the company doing the pick up should be able to arrange for it be palletised. The receiving end has unloading capabilities required to shift big items around their warehouse. A toolbox won't present a problem.

Knowing this, I can then start looking at tracking eBay and local CL sales.

Supe: if you can put it on a pallet and drop it off at a Fastenal store that has a fork lift they will ship it for about $150-$200. i use the main warehouse for Washington State in Lakewood, Washington to pick up and drop off pallets. if you PM me i'll give you the manager's email address so you can arrange shipping.

a couple weeks ago i shipped a piece of gym equipment for about that much from Lakewood, Washington to Minnesota and it was 7 foot tall. they have a fork lift to load and unload there and some of the local stores do too. I've also shipped tools and vises. one member shipped an almost 200 pound vise in a crate on a pallet he built from Texas to me in this one i'm attaching a picture of.

That's an excellent response. I may be in a situation with a seller who won't be able to plop toolbox on to a pallet though. Which is why I am wondering if I could arrange this with a company to manage from go to woe. IF seller could palletise and presuming there was a local Fastenal to them, the solution would work. I am trying to cover all the angles here.

My fear is that I buy a box from a U.S seller and can't get the box moved to shipping company.

Thanks for the approximate Fastenal quotes too.
