Here's a teaser. I'm waiting for the snap on dealer to bring my new lock cylinder next Thursday, so that's why the top 2 drawers aren't in. Also scored 2 new Snap-On rigid casters (has one bad one) on eBay for $32 shipped.

I dropped 2k on it. Its in pretty good shape minus the caster and needing a lock, but they will be fixed for less than $75 dollars easily. I think it was a fair deal, considering it has the stainless top also. The guy was originally asking $2800.

Just 1 question, did you ask your local snappy guy to move it for you? Mine has hauled my 1033 three times for me at no charge. Either way nice score on box and hope you like it.

I haven't dealt much w/ the snap on guy, so I don't know if he would do that for me. The box was about an hour away from me also.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead. I need to haul a krl1023 about 4 hours and I am not sure what trailer to get. How will I lock and tie it down?

I have done alot of research before I transported my 1022. U haul ramp trailers are definitely the easiest. Only thing is I would double check to see if the trailer is long enough to fit your 1023 triple bank.

Sorry guys, not renting a trailer or or paying a flatbed to haul it. I'm a DIY kinda guy

and if you lose a hold of the box and dump it ...how much will it be worth to you then? Crushed/dented/destroyed box is not worth much

I have a KRL-7002/1201.

I moved it fully loaded on a Ryder 26' Liftgate truck and I won't be doing that again. Or at least I learned something from that last move. Damned near killed 4 people. Me and gravity would have been the defendants in that lawsuit.

Anyhow. Just moved it again. I asked around some garages about how they moved their boxes. They gave me a number of a Flatbed truck guy. Some guys wanted outrageous money to move it. The guy I picked does them every other day or so.

Cost me $45 and he knew what he was doing. Still scary watching your box go down the road though.

I moved my KRL1001 with the U-Haul $25/ day motorcycle ramp trailer. I think its 5' x 9' but you should verify that. We rolled the box in, ran straps from the 4 castors to the 4 corners, and then a couple ratchet straps over the top to prevent tipping. Worked great. Drove @ 10 miles of urban streets. If if was going to be a longer distance at 65 mph I would have wrapped a packing blanket around it.
