Trash can propane heater with plastic ceiling?

Have a 12 foot ceiling and a trash can type propane heater. If I put up 6 mil plastic on ceiling to contain heat will it melt? Thinking I need to get a blower type heater and some ear plugs? Ceiling not in budget yet. Roof is vented

No it will not melt. If your worried about it aim a box fan above it.

Right?!? What could go wrong? Lol. I will find out pretty quick if it melts

Point a hair drier at a piece of the plastic you're thinking of putting on the ceiling. Get it hot, and use a IR thermometer to test the temp.
