My daughters central furnace just went out with a failed HX. There was no A/C connected to the system. They just bought the house last year and want A/C. We ditched central system and I pulled all the duct work and furnace out of the crawl space. We put in a Fujitsu 24 with 2-7k & 1-12kbtu evaps. It is only about 1000 sq ft single story. Everything went in well, EXCEPT... I haven't installed these in 6 or 7 years and I remember the mounting brackets being heavier gauge. Once piped and wired up with the drain line run, trying to close the hi wall evaps onto the bracket would lever the top away from the wall. Dismounedt the unit and added toggle bolts at all 4 corners in addition to the screws into the studs. Rookie mistake and I'm not a rookie any longer. Don't be me. With the toggles the evaps fit up nicely. Starting it up tomorrow morning.

The wall mounted units are lightweight, I’m surprised you needed toggle bolts!
See, now you do a lot of this. I don’t. It is largely trying to stuff the line set, power cord and drain neatly into the very compact channel on the back of the unit. While you are nudging the line set, you can likely affect the gravity drain lay-out. I was fortunate that all three evaps backed up into closets so I could split the line set and drain off different sides.

I hear ya about trying to fit everything behind the unit. I prefer going straight out the back through the wall whenever possible but sometimes you just can’t.

I hate having to fit everything in too. I usually find a certain layout that fits everything in the tightest most efficient way. Then I pray that it will still fit when I go to snap it down. Lol!
I installed the same system this spring.
I hope you have better luck than I did. I had a leaky schrader valve in a service port that allowed all the refrigerant to leak out over a couple months. The unit never gives me any error codes, even though it says it will.
Also, I'm not sure why they only allow you to set temperatures as even numbers.
