Anyone ever buy anything from these guys? I was at a Hot Rod show a couple of weeks ago in Indianapolis and picked up one of their brochures. Looks like they have some nice stuff but I haven't heard of them. Frankly, I wouldn't have been in a position to know of them either before...

Specifically I'm looking to pick up some of welding "helper" tools and MAYBE one of the Jet grinder combos.

(I have no ties w/ this company.)

Why would it matter if the box was light ? my tool box weighs a ton but the 1/4 steel plate worksuface on top is only half the weight, its on wheels why does the weight matter ?

I really am just wondering why someone would think Alu box on wheels would be cool, maybe there is a valid reason.

The description says it is a race cabinet, I would assume that they are trying to sell these to race teams that have to haul their tool cabinets with them.

Also aluminum doesnt rust so there could be long term benefits for some applications.

Ok, that makes sense, I missed the race part and I have to agree with pushing the thing up a trailer. Mine would be a ***** for that, the top is huge, the drawers stainless steel and the box itself heavy gauge steel, I forget the weight empty but even empty I would not want to push up a trailer.

For the race crowd lightweight is king.
