Seems to be plenty of bright folks on the forums here and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a couple crusty tricone bits, one has a cone with some slop, another has a cone that won't turn 360 degrees. How would one go about pulling the cones to gain access to the bearings? I know there is a retaining pin but I'm not sure what the normal approach to remove it is.

Never saw anyone try to rebuild one, usually went in the bit pile. When there was a truck load the scrappies hauled them off. the bits arent designed to be servicable. drill em down trip em out ! dont go fishing !
