picked up these HF magnetic tool box bits, problem is theyre going on a red cart...

saw plasti dip while at lowes and figured id try it after friends recently talking about it.

overall came out pretty well, near impossible to get a run! not sure how long it will last but for $6 I figured id try it, it saved me rubbing them down, priming then painting them which would soon get scratched anyway.

anyone else plastidip theyre box or stuff?

I have used it for countless amounts of wheels on cars and trucks, along with emblems...I thought about spraying it over my galvanized boat trailer. Sure would beat paint peeling off later..

This was my first attempt at Plastidip. I wanted a carbon fiber wrap but could not find anything that was just carbon fiber with out any extra graphics.
Found the idea on Plastidipmycar.com.
Not the best if you look close but still turned out ok. This has been on my machine for one winter with about 6 rides, going through snow, ice, sidehill, branches, and road grim, since I don't always travel with a cover.

I did both side pieces and the windshield. No rips or scratches.

My son did his whole truck with Elastiwrap.. it turned a rough looking 2001 mazda with 400k on it into a pretty good looking truck.
Well worth the money.

I belong to some online car forums ---- and I hear about Plasti-Dip frequently. I'm told that among the reasons for its popularity is the fact that you can peel it off if you don't like the results. Rims (aka wheels) are commonly plasti-dipped -- as are accessories like mirrors -- and stripes are often dipped.

Plasti-derp? Nah I don't use that anymore.:lol_hitti

Might be better and/or cheaper than it used to be doubt it though. Different strokes for different folks.

I tried Plasti-dip once.

I hate the ****. I will not use it again.
I plasti-dipped (should be called rubber-dip) a filing cabinet drawer after it would not take paint no matter how much I cleaned/degreased/sanded it. It went on OK, and looked decent. Even after a week of "curing", it felt very sticky/tacky....like very soft rubber. It scuffed at the slightest touch. I couldn't imagine getting it muddy or dirty...I don't think you'd ever get it clean.

Well, my filing cabinet has been stuffed back in the corner since last year....since about 3 weeks after I plasti-dipped it. Maybe I'll dig it out and test it out again...

I used the plastidip clear over the carbon look was done and I also had the tacky feel after a week. Not happy with it I repainted it in the carbon look again and left the clear off and it is fine.

Thank you. A complete difference between a 2001 Yamaha tripple and the new RMK's. Very nimble.

I dipped the rims of my car since they were corroded but otherwise in good shape. Bought 4 cans from the dipyourcar website. Easy to do, hasn't peeled in the year i've been driving. I sprayed them while on my car, easy cleanup too...
