Trim suggestions

I am trying to finish my shop office and can't come up with a way to trim out the windows. Not looking for just a plain way but something that will make the trim pop. Originally I wasn't going to trim them out so I finished the drywall around them but now that I've got the walls painted I think it needs more white trim so it stands out more.







I'm thinking of boxing around the top of the window from the ceiling down 6" and have the crown wrap around the box with another small piece of trim around the bottom of the box.

Maybe use baseboard with another piece of trim on the outside to make it different for the window sides and a window sill?

Ideas?

If you have three quarters of an inch clearance around the edge of the window you could frame the inside with wood and then add standard trim on the wall. That's basically what I did on my windows but I didn't have an already finished surface in the recess.
If it's that important to you and you don't have the clearance you could remove the drywall in the recess and replace with wood. That would give you the wiggle room you need to add standard trim - you can't just frame the recess on the outside - I'm sure it's no where near square enough to look right.

I have the clearance for the insides of the window. I can always use 1/2" or even 1/4" material. I'm trying to stay away from the standard trim.

My main area of concern is the tops of the windows since there is only about 5" of clearance above the window and then the crown would come down 3" or so. Not enough room left to trim out without touching the crown so I think I must now incorporate the crown into the window trim at the top to make it look right or not trim out the window at all like I originally planned but now seeing things together and me going a lil overboard I think it needs to be trimmed out. I made the door headers on the router table. I'm looking for a lil on the fancier side for where the window meets the crown.

It's just a shop office and bathroom but may be used from time to time for guests on the pullout couch

put the head of the trim to the ceiling, install your cove to stop at the trim and return it to the wall .
or

put the head pc on without the bolecton (top pc) and wrap your cove around it

sometimes you have to try a mock up of different scenarios to see what looks pleasing.

or do the head the same way as the doors, keep the bolecton at the same height as the bottom of the cove and wrap your cove around that .

I'm thinking of something like this but with it going up to the ceiling. Making it as wide enough to go to the outside of the side window trim pieces.

that would look good, even drop the head equal to the dimension of the head on the doors to shadow or valence the top of the window

I think I would frame out the inside of that drywall and then frame it with same trim that is used around the door. Also do put a nice large sill in the window with a decorative apron under it. That would make it really pop out.
