Trimming along rake

Good morning Garagers,

First I wanted to say thanks to everyone for your assistance on my previous questions. You guys have been a god send for my project. Thank you!!!

I need help with ideas for trimming along my rake edge. My assumption is that I run a 2x6 along my rake and secure to the truss. Then run my drip edge off that then fascia covering. I know I screwed up by not hanging my sheathing proud along the rake but that’s hindsight. First time doing anything like this and pretty much a one man operation on the roof.

First photo is my build and subsequent photo is what I would like my appearance to be.

Yes. Finish sheathing then attach the rake board even with the roof sheathing. Then do the roof drip edge, etc
