Triple D Cell Maglight $20

Amazon Has the three D-Cell Maglight for $20. From a lumens standpoint it is not that great at under 200 lumens. The Defiants from HD are much better value but some people swear by the robustness of the mag light.

I would agree that the light output is lacking, but they do last. I have had mine for over 20 years!

I've heard the Maglights are prone to battery leakage.

Could be I had 3 maglights just recenlty all have stuck batteries due to leaking batteries. But they were older batteries and the lights sat around for a while with little use.

I had one that is completely froze / corroded in it's a 3 D Cell ones (couldn't even ram it out with hammer and a wooden stick.....I just store battery outside of the flash light now. Guess this could happen to any Aluminum flash light and the metal shell of the battery fuse together once the alkaline start to act as an electrolyte ,,,,, just a guess.....

They even make an upgrade for the Mini-MagLite that I've considered.
