We have one at work for moving to unheated shops at other sites and we are wondering if these can be used with any 40lbs or 100lbs cylinders? Would you need a regulator in between or should be look into something more like the convection construction heaters. We currently switch them off of the 20lbs cyls twice a day and would like to stop running into town all the time.

I believe they would scrrew right on to the 100 pound or the 40 pound cylinders at the p o l connection. No additional regulator would be needed. As the unit has a built in regulator in it. Just my $ .02

After finding a somewhat official response on the northern website, it appears I can. However can this be rsn in. Building that is very well ventilated as in not well sealed up? They say not indoors but I've seen some laces refer to garages or shops as not indoors.

if it's drafty you'll be fine.
they just don't want ya using them in your bathroom or bedroom for home comfort heating..
a garage/warehouse task heating is fine.. aside from any spilled gasoline you store in the basement near the hot water heater that is.

I have a drafty garage at home that I use on my time off from the mines. I have be. Looking at the Dewalt DXH45LP to heat it and wanted work to buy one so I could test it out. What they bought us was a triple burner tank top and a 100lbs cyl. We will see how it works come Monday.
