Triplex in PVC run max distance?

Hello. I'm a new member to your community but it seems like I've been here before! At one time or another I've had most of the questions seen here, and have done much of what I read about.
A question: I want to have a new service (200A) meter box installed on a new pole, and run triplex in PVC to my new shop. The distance is about 350". Can this be done without a transformer? What size conductor should I use? Is this a feasible idea? Thank you for your comments.

First question is, if its all new, why cant it be closer to your building. Call the power company and see what they will do (For Free)

Assuming you meant feet , but where is the next can at? At my old place I had it 450' but the lights would run every time I would use a big tool or the ol lady turned on electric dryer in the bkhse.

If there is a disconnect at the meter box then you need to run quadruplex (4 wires), not 3 wires. It's 3 wires between meter base and first disconnect. After first disconnect you need an equipment ground making it 4 wires.

They won't run further than 70 metres up here. Which would be roughly 210'

Also, ask your poco if you can do a combo- they run ** feet free to a pole, then transition to conduit- but YOU install the conduit and bury it to the structure. (Some allow this, some don't)

They might hang the transformer on the pole, then the only voltage drop is the 350 ft from there to the structure. Plus as pointed out above you only need 3 wires UP TO the meter and disconnect, so you 'save' 350ft of ground wire. (But are paying poco prices...)

Its not usually a good idea to have that much unfused wire running on your property.

I would set a disconnect below the pole then run 4-wire to panel.

Something big enough to carry 200Amps over 350 feet will also be dear.

You'll need 400kcmils in copper, 750 in Al.

Al will be about $11-12 a foot including ground and conduit. Not including trench.

Oh, if you can get them to place the pole, or the building or the path, so that the lenght is 333 feet, you can buy a 1000' spool for the 3 big pieces.

As you can read from your replies here, different options from different parts of the country, 300' is the max here for an underground service, utility wont allow/hook up. On my barn they came out and surveyed, I ran my 2" pvc from my barn mounted meterbase 120' to an under ground tap box that I bought, I ran 2 1/2" pvc from tap box-10' away to base of untility pole. Power Co. showed up, ran 2 1/2" up the pole, installed wire down to tap box and tied onto my wire that I ran in my conduit. They changed transformer on pole. I paid for everything from underground tap box to my barn. They would have ran overhead for ** ' but I didn't want an overhead service running down the property line.
