So I just ordered my first shipment of these power tools, I was at a power tool exhibition earlier this year where they launched it and was blown away at the versatility of the range and each individual tool.

Does anyone have any experience with these? I see they are designed in Australia.

I got the twin pack in my order as well, I am pretty sure these will sell like mad. They will compliment my KREG jig section a lot.

Those look pretty nice. What's the pricing like on them?

I cannot comment on price, our prices are mad ridiculous compared to prices in the states. I will retail the above mentioned set @ $300, I dunno what the prices might be if you had to import them. But that price over here is quite reasonable for what you get, I paid more than that for my Bosch cordless 14.1v driver alone.

But yes, they do look like good tools. I am also getting the palm sander and planer with a few circular saws.

We get it over here, but I have not ordered one. Their circular saws are pretty damn tough and can take a beating. So all their tools seems to be top notch. I just ordered a impact driver for myself, should already be here I think.

Some of it is too expensive for my market, but the affordable ones does work hard.

Only thing in my shop Triton is the router that lives in its table, and I've had no complaints with it. Nice soft start, and well balanced.
They do have good routers, micro adjustable height and all. But I think that is on the big ones only.

Hi Katotter,

I picked up a brand new Triton TA184CSL circular saw for R785 from Makro. I'm sure it was a pricing error. I haven't ever used it though as I seldom do any wood work, but could not ignore that deal. :D

Now I want their table thingy (TCB100 I think), but at well over R4K its a bit out of my league.

Beenman,

Sorry for the stupidly late reply mate, but rarely have time for interwebz nowadays. That does seem like a pricing issue. I know out supplier (vermont sales) had the TRITA184CSL and the TRITA235CSL on a launching special of R1500 ex VAT for both, but even at that, R785 is too little for it, you scored big time bro. They have the 184CSL with a cutting guide/ruler on special now for R1599 incl VAT retail price.

As for the table thingy, over R4k is hectic, should be more in the region of R 3300, but it is a great investment. You can use it for countless applications, router table (spindle routing), table saw, etc... very versatile. It also has a 240v switch, so no hassle stopping and starting tools.

BTW, if you use it, tell me how the laser guide works, cause I have a pretty decent Hitachi miter saw (R5600 worth) also with laser, but its not calibrated or something, I never use it.

So after getting myself the full Triton work center, I can gladly say its a proper piece of machinery. The most accurate, stable and versatile piece of tool kit in my garage at them moment, ripping, crosscut, big sheets, bevel, routing, mortice and tenon, and a lot more that I can mention now.

And a big huge sticker on it that states MADE IN AUSTRALIA.
