After weeks of online reading of reviews, forums and more forums and reviews, I finally purchased my 2 post lift, the Triumph C7000, last Monday, January 16th . The numerous posts on garagejournal on various lifts were instrumental to making this final decision. Tonight, after unpacking the "pallet", I have 2 good reasons to sign up with garagejournal:

This is the MOST important reason for signing up: while trying to measure the baseplate, center-to-center bolt hole distances, I inadvertently discovered that both my baseplates are BOWED! I still can't believe with a straight edge in the middle, both ends have about 1/16th gaps.

Fellow Triumph C7000 owners, are your baseplates bowed as well?

Serial number decode - I was informed by NAT that my lift is from the most recent shipment they received (January 2017). My serial number is 1612006.

Without an official decode, there's a couple of ways to interpret this:

a. 161 unit built in 2006 (not cool)
b. 16th week of 2012, 6th unit built. (also not cool)
c. 2016, December, 6th unit built (much better)

Fellow Triumph C7000 owners, when did you buy your lift and what's your serial number?

That's one of the byproducts of welding steel. I'd imagine your your concrete floor is more than a 1/16 " bowed or concaved.

Just bolt it down.

You'll be fine just bolt it down.

Is this thing going in a Ferrari Shop?

Bolt it down!

Warped a tiny bit from welds,,,,,bolt that bad boy down and get on with life !!!!

Finally some common sense on GJ! OP, you're paranoid. Bolt it down and enjoy it.

I'm agreeing with others have said, it's just a little warp from the welds, which if those are your bases that means the welds should be structural. The thickest of steel will warp under that type of heat to get a proper weld. Anchor it down to the concrete properly and you'll be good to go!

Edit: Also, most manufacturers place the 2 digit year first so it should mean December 6th, 2016.

If you wanted to go the extra step, you could also use some non-shrink grout..
But 1/16 is not major deal.

But, you'd have to buy a 50# sack...

Reviving an older thread. Where is the best place to buy this lift? Anybody with recent experience?
