Hello,

Any experienced triwing users here? Need to take care of an electric device that has those.

Any recommendations for quality bits or drivers? Regular size in my case, looks like #2 or #3 - not a miniature ones, not yet.

Thank you

IFixit tool kit has them. I have the set, used it to repair a few Apple products and a Note 5. Decent quality, lifetime warranty on the bits and all.

OR if you just want the bits and the most comprehensive kit..

I do highly encourage all auto-techs to have this kit in their arsenal these days as SOME automakers are moving to these kinds of fastener heads... *COUGH*VW*COUGH*

For reference, Tri-wing and Tri-point are different drives and not compatible. Tri-Point is like a 3-blade JIS. Tri-Wing has offset radial blades that do not align to a common center point.

Many modern electronics are using Tri-Point (Apple, Nintendo, etc).

iFixit and Moody Tools both make high quality Tri-points. iFixit includes them in bit sets and makes a fixed blade driver. Moody makes fixed blade drivers with ESD handles.

iFixit used to work with Felo for the blades for the first German made Tri-point fixed blade drivers, but makes their own now.
