Hello fellow GJ members,

First, just like to give a shout out to all of the people who have come before me to post on this excellent website. Its a truly great place to get information on just about any aspect of the automotive hobby, from tools, to the cars they repair, to ideas for garages that we are either building or plan to as soon as we can.

I am writing to ask of an one has everhad issues with getting orders fulfilled my MROCenter.com. I ordered two Williams ratcheting screwdrivers from them in late February of this year, and, while the first one arrived in a timely manner, the second one has yet to be delivered. The last time I heard from a "representative" of the company was via a chat app that appreaded on their website, at which time i was told that the item was "backordered" and would be sent "soon". Needless to say, the chat app on their site seems to have since been disabled, and emails and voicemails are never responded to. I paid $52 all-in for "both" screwdrivers, and as I did receive one, I am only partially "screwed". If anyone has any thoughts (maybe the owner of MRO, if you are listening), I'm glad to hear them. Otherwise, let this be a cautionary tale about getting "one for the price of two" when you order from MROCenter.com.

Important Update:

On 4/12, I received a "Balance Adjustment" on my credit card for the amount I was charged for the screwdriver that I never received. In the time between receiving the credit and my original post, I initiated a charge dispute with my credit card company, which I can only assume is what prompted the refund. Nonetheless, MROCenter.com no longer owes me either money or merchandise, but I'm probably not going to order anything from them again.

I've still been waiting on a socket I ordered to complete a set on Jan 11. I've sent emails and messages, called the number on the site and another number given to me during a previous transaction. No answer or response. They have always been slow to ship, but at this point I think I'm going to follow your lead and file with my bank to get a refund.

Too bad, because they were always able to offer Williams stuff at such good prices.

Called my bank to dispute charges. Also when you Google MRO Center now, they're getting flak on Ripoff Report in the last few months for the same issue.

An update: My socket just arrived today. I guess having the bank get on their case got them to get off their *** and send it out.

Funny I order 2 of the Williams ratcheting screw drivers maybe 2 months ago and they showed up in about the time frame promised. 10 working days.

For how great their prices are, I was fine with my set of sockets I bought last year taking a couple of months to arrive. At that point, they had Elizabeth dealing with all the customer service, and she was great. Now it was no reply, no product, just a bill until my bank got on them to actually ship it out. A company like that is just WAY too hit and miss for me to give my money to.
