Sheesh...I just bought a brand new flourescent trouble light at Lowes. It worked about 30 days and quit. I took it apart and found the circuit board inside is burnt up. Cheap Chinese ****.

Some trouble lights can be nothing but trouble. The fluorescent bulbs break easily and the cords are always in the way or getting cut in the engine fan or cooked on an exhaust manifold.

You might want to take a look at this

I had a couple sears ones that worked ok for a few years, then one morning I plugged them in and they both went ZAP ZAP POP and stopped working. I think water had condensed on teh circuti board from being on the cold concrete floor overnight. :( I bought the standard trouble light for an incandescent bulb at home desport for like $10, then put one of the '100w equivalent' ccl flourescent in there; that seems to bee working ok.
