I have a Troy-Bilt Chipper/Shredder, I believe the model is CS4210. It has a 10hp Briggs & Stratton engine. I was wondering if any of you are familiar with this and what they think about them.
For me, I'm pretty happy with it, as long as you know what and what not to run through it. It has always run good for me, my only problem is vibration can be real bad and is usually due to a bad flail blade that has broken. Over all it suits my needs to keep up various trimmings on two half acre lots, and another that is just over an acre.

I have an old one that predates the tomahawk model where the discharge is straight out underneath the unit. I don't really care for it. The later models discharged at the bottom to the side.

I find it's much easier and faster to just turn everything into smoke.

I’ve heard, and in one case seen, that the MTD made Troy Bilt machines were not as well made as the originals. The one I saw pretty much self destructed in place.

I had an earlier rolling powered unit 47282, and due to my errors it sorta destroyed solo. Gave it to a friend who can weld, and it’s fine now. Mine was a beast.
