Any one have any idea why I can't get this to read tire pressure? I took it all apart and cleaned it. Spring in gauge moves free when apart but will not read pressure.

Because it's called Tru flat. If you wanted to read pressure you should have bought their other product; Tru Inflated

Because they are cheap pieces of carp. The trigger type gauges **** rocks too - inaccurate, chucks fail quickly, indicators tend to stick and so on.

These are very old school and I found this design to have defects even when new. Instead of buying the cheaper products, try a brand name unit in the $35.00 range. These days I prefer the trigger and round needle gauge, which allows me to simply replace the dial gauge with a better quality unit when needed.
