I'm going to be building a hitch mount for a small crane for my truck, and it occurred to me as I was designing it that it would be a handy place to mount a vice as well. It's going to be attached to two receivers on the truck - the regular one in the center and another off to the side, with a jack directly underneath. The "bench" top will be to the left of the tailgate, next to the left tail light, probably 34 or 36 inches off the ground.

If I'm putting a crane on it sometimes and a vise on it other times, what else would be handy to have anchored to my truck? Whatever I use, it has to be manageable by one person (say, less than 50lbs), and can't rely on an external generator or compressor. The top will have bolt holes for securing things, but I'll be able to clamp to it, too.

Anyone have any nifty ideas for truck mounted bench tools?

I know, it does seem like a trivial question, but I can't help feeling like there's something ridiculously useful that I could have on the truck. I spend a fair amount of time doing construction and light fabrication way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, and there are some simple shop items that are invaluable out there. Having things like a vise can be the difference between a task being ridiculously difficult and ridiculously simple.

I just have a feeling that I'm going to get this thing set up and end up out there kicking myself for not having something bolted to it.
