Truck frame adapters for MaxJax

I want to try to lift my Ford truck on my MaxJax. The lift points per the ALI guide are on the frame. The front points are between two brackets that only leave about 5". The ones suggested for the MaxJax at GES are too big.

http://www.gesusa.com/Frame-Cradle-Lift-Pad-p/119527.htm

At that price, I really don't want to have to cut them.

Has anybody tried the ones from Greg Smith Equipment for the Atlas lifts?

http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-Frame-Adapters-1-3-8-Peg

The peg looks like the right diameter, but I think it's a little shorter than normal for a MaxJax.

Anybody come up with a better solution for this problem?

Im not sure why the greg smith ones wouldn't work but is it really an issue, does it need to cradle the frame? I wouldn't think so, but I could be wrong.

I figured I would update my findings in case someone else wants to know. I bought the Greg Smith Atlas 1 3/8" truck frame adapters to use with my maxjax. I think it worked really well. I already had the 6" truck extensions from GES. You can see in the pictures the problem areas.

The Atlas cradle adapters fit the narrow front lift points.

The left rear lift point is next to the gas tank so a cradle shape really helps.

The cradle design also makes me feel safer when lifting on a truck frame. In the rare possibility that it slipped off the regular flat pad, it could fall quite a ways before catching somewhere else.

This is the first lift I've ever used so I'm no expert, but it is great.
I love my MaxJax.
Here is my 5700 lb F250 up in the air. I spaced mine at 128" and so far it has worked for all my cars and the truck.

I have been planning on ordering some of their pad extensions. I am glad to hear they work with our Maxjax. I love mine. I have been eyeing a set of those truck adapters as well.

You put a 5700lbs vehicle on a maxjax? Brave soul lol

They rate it for 6000 (when they first came out they sold them with a 7K rating but there is also a "margin of error" figured in). I have had many 5K+ pound vehicles on mine and I am still here to talk about it. Of course the mounting points/floor itself is the most important part as well...

Funny. I was just searching for something for my ranger and found this thread!

I noticed the dannmar ones have a pad at the bottom of the cradle. I thought that was nice where the atlas does not. Any issues with it marring up the frame?

I want to get either one but will have to look under my ranger to see if I will have an issue with clearance like you did with your truck. Plus I need to pick up the 6" extensions. Those are pricey!! I can't get over how much they are for a steel peg pretty much.

Old thread but this might add some value. I checked with a machine shop to have some cradles made up but eventually it was cheaper and much quicker to just buy the cradles.

Even scratched up a draft of a plan for the.

I but a guy could weld up a set out of some channel and a turned steel. My machinist was too busy and his boss knew who much they cost retail so .....

Rangers are stupid to pick up no matter what lift you have. Anywhere you try to pick it up is a compromise

Welp in case anyone else needs help with frame cradle adapters.

I bought the following from Atlas #ATPK-FTA per this thread.
They have pads included which is nice, I emailed them making sure they had pads included since the other picture here showed no pads.

I bought 4 of them. I initially bought the ones from Dannmar but kept getting the run around for them being back ordered and it was another month, then another month...etc. So I cancelled that and picked these up.

They fit perfectly in the maxjax arms, 3" extensions, and 6" extensions I have. The extension I have are all Maxjax, but honestly I would have purchased the Atlas ones because you get more variety and it's cheaper!

Anyways here are two pictures. Fits my Ford Ranger rails perfectly! I like this design much better than the Dannmar open face ones. Quality seems to be very good. Not as heavy as I was expecting compared to the extension tubes that weigh a ton.
