Just curious how the warranty works. Is it similar to Craftsman go to the location and swap? Also does it matter if your the orginal owner?

Thanks

My snappy man just swaps whatever out when I need it. I've done it by calling their corporate office and mailing the tools off as well. Very easy either way.

Thanks good to know. A few pawn shops were selling some snap on stuff and wanted to make sure before I bought. Might lay off it now unless I find a buddy.

Just give the broken stuff to the tool truck driver / salesman.
If you have a decent relationship with the guy, you can usually get stuff covered / replaced even if you got it second hand, even though that goes against policy.

If you have an established business relationship with a dealer they may do a warranty swap. If you track down a dealer and don't have a relationship then it's YMMV.

SO 1-800 cust. service may warranty one or two tools but you'll need to call them first. The warranty only applies to original purchaser but there's a little bit of leeway if your warranty request is fairly minor.

I have worked at the same shop for over 25yrs...have seen all the tool trucks come and go...then come and go again...and again. Dont get in deep with them. Run a small amount of debt...No more than $200, Pay off one thing at a time. They are more inclined to warranty things for you without all the drama, and runaround if you owe them money...

It really depends on who your dealing with, sometimes a tool guy wont stop in unless you call him up and request him to stop at the garage your working at. If you don't work at a garage that could be a problem, but you should be able to call/email the company and send your tool in to have it warranted. If a tool guy already stops its no problem at all then.
