Only thing I ever get out of the TrueValue or Ace ad is the coupon for 50% off an item up to $30 and use it at HD.

I've never had a problem, aside from newer cashier's asking for a supervisor's ok. Usually get my neighbors flyers and make a stop at each HD in the area if Im not driving out of my way

test the cashiers, ive had a few take half off everything... that got fun.
My experience recently was they will NOT take competitor coupons. I had an HD 10% off. Cashier said no. I checked their website and it also said no.

its ymmv. i just try to remember the good ppl and the bad ppl. garden cashiers are almost always good ones.
i start making a list about this time every yr.. i had such good luck last yr that ill probably make a list of over $30 items this yr. hopefully my favorite cashier works BF... she let it rip for half off entire order.. i went back for thirds and maxed out every card i had on me!
