I wish i knew about this site earlier... before the major stuff was done...LONG STORY...
The existing garage is 8" x 8" x 16" block construction...22' wide front x 30' deep (outside dimensions) with a 7' 9" ceiling hight ... entry door and 10' garage door on the 22' front of garage... WITH EXISTING ROOF...
Added and tied in an additional 30' wide x 30' deep to the LEFT of existing garage...8" x 12" x 16" block... with an additional coarse and a half of block for a 8' 9" FUTURE ceiling hight... with two 10 ' garage door openings...3' 8" between the garage doors...NO ROOF
So for a grand total of 52' front ... left to right..."ROUGHLY" at 3' 8" + three 10' (doors spaced evenly at 3' 8") then 6' of wall with entry door and at the far right x 30' deep...
SO...the plan is to tear off existing roof match the wall hight to 8' 9" and truss the whole thing with three or 4 windows (which ever looks best) on the 52' front dormer side of roof...
***HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS...I may want a lift in the future...do you think I could get a 30' truss with 12" OH (coffer or scissor) to make up the additional ceiling hight for a lift ? WITHOUT a CRAZY pitch... or does anyone have a 30' truss with similar spects. in their garage?...I have old Ford pickups / panel truck that would be lifted...
***And what truss company would you suggest to go to (fair price / good product / good reputation)...I live in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia Pa...
Thanks , Mark
