I believe the dead blow extender has finally been revived. Jerry Trusty, the person in the photos, walked into my office with three extenders today.

A handful of forum members have an extender already. I'd like to give a couple more away. We've had a brief discussion on a redesign, which centered on the grip. We need more feedback before we make a permanent mold.

Anybody see a use an extender?

Thanks.

That is a brilliant idea. Can think of lots of times in my life that would have been handy (and probably hold up a lot better than the piece of wood I would normally grab.

That is a pretty good idea. I've never seen anything like that before. I'd like to try one!

I was at my local brewery (https://www.scarletlanebrew.com/) some time ago, and come to find out, the person sitting next to me worked at the body shop less than half a mile from us. I told him to stop in, and I would give him some hammers. I showed him an extender when he came in, and he said he kept a 2X4 with his toolbox. I gave him an extender, and it has, believe it or not, replaced the wood.

Absolutely does that look like a valuable tool. I’d love to have one at home to try for myself but we could definitely use those at work. We are always using hammers and punches to beat on adjusting collars on our equipment. Those look like they could replace the shock caused by the steel on steel pounding that effects my arthritis so badly. How can I get ahold of one to try? Only problem for work is we order through Grainger so you would have to either sell through them or price affordable enough for me to purchase a half dozen out of my own pocket to take to work. By the way, id prefer the red myself.

Very nice. That would be great to get into tight areas. I will be looking to add one to my tool box if/when they become available.

That is pretty dang cool. I like Trusty-Cook dead blows quite a bit. If they get made, I will have to get one!

Yet another moment where I see a tool I could've used countless times in the past. I'd definitely buy one!

Around the ball joint unit hub area, sometimes I find myself wishing there were an easier way to get a good swing without mashing any neighboring parts. I'm not too proudto admit abusing a block of wood.

I know I have emailed you a few times about the deadblow extenders. Especially last time after slit myself pretty good when the 2x4 broke apart. I would love to give it a try. If not I will be more than happy to purchase one.

i always use a dowel. If the price was right Id be intrested. The great thing about the wooden dowel is that theyre cheap.

I can see bumping aluminum brake calipers or drums with one to loosen from sliders or axles respectively. It would also add an element of safety on furniture spring replacement. If I were able to choose, I would make mine red. Hope it is a profitable product line for Trusty-Cook. -J

Would work good driving out large pins on heavy equipment. Opposite question, how small can they be made?

Definitely liking the looks of this. Working on farm equipment every day, a chunk of wood is my typical go to. However this would be worlds ahead of that since it wouldn't split apart. Certainly going to be keeping an eye on this thread.

That's awesome. Haven't used anything like that but would certainly give it a try. Have a couple Trusty-Cook hammers in may collection could use a few more...

I need one (or 4)! Would also likely make a great mallet for carving and chisel work with a little larger head. How about just a round textured handle like the hammers?

I think TC would "hit the nail on the head", if they go ahead and produce this tool for production. Of course everyone on this forum is going to want one. It takes far less to convince us that we need new tools!

I would use this at my job, rebuilding old woodworking machinery. I've dimpled some old machines and this should eliminate that.
