Does a hammer need to be heavier on one side to use with a pin punch? I got to thinking about that after making my previous comment.

Hammers are striking tools and you see all sorts of hammers that would be heavier on one side than on the other side. There is quite a difference in weight of the two components that go into the heads of our ball peens, for example. I don't know why a hammer would have to be heavier on one side to use with a pin punch.
