I've had a Trusty Cook dead blow hammer for many years now. It has held up extremely well considering the beatings it has given out! I've had others buy them when their "other brand" hammers just plain sucked and they tried mine....

Thanks for your post clearing that up. As mentioned before it would be nice if other manufacturers would do the same. I will be ordering some Trusty Cook hammers very soon.

I'm seriously interested in ordering some of them; however, their website does not seem to indicate the head weight for all of their hammers other than the ball pein? I'd like to know the head weights prior to ordering to ensure I am getting what I expect.

If you click on the individual hammer it shows the weight, also it shows the weight if you click on the hammer category (in gray at the top) on the model line up page.

EDIT: Just realized that's the total weight not the weight of the head.

I don't know if they make Stanley, but I bought some compocast dead blow Stanley hammers for cheaper than Trusty Cook online prices and they are made in the USA.

We do hardscapes for a living.
Trusty Cook deadblows are our hammer of choice.

They hold up to leveling stone and block better than anything else

Trusty cook hammer- one old tech has one and beat it a lot. Still strong for long time! It had a Indianapolis, Indiana stamped on handle.

When I found out it was location near my parents home, I had my dad stop by to pick up a dead blow huge hammer like 12 lbs as best one I has use to get big ford trucks tires loose from rust sticky on hubs. It is best to use not use steel hammer as will bend the rims.

I wanted to go there and browse around the products but they have different hours that I could not able to go as can't take a time off from work.

I am trying to place an order for a mechanics 3 pack. The website states it qualifies for free shipping but the website will not let me place the order unless I choose a nonfree shipping method. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

$150 free shipping minimum. The item qualifies to get you up to $150 dollars if you combine it with other qualifying items, but in and of itself it does not qualify for free shipping.

A guy I knew was friends with a guy that worked for trusty cook. Every since hammer he owned was a Blem trusty cook that he got for free. And he had something that looked like the head of a soft face dead blow hammer. Had no handle. It had shot in it too. I never knew what the hell it was for though.

Somebody in the past had posted a pic of that hand hammer. Looking handy in certain situations!
