Make them replaceable and shape-able tips. Hammer with a set of 10 "tips" to custom shape as you need.
I could use a flattened oval half circle today for a Willy's side shield. I'll make a "punch" out of oak on the belt sander and pound in the curve I need. See the "running board" part of the front fender ?

Hmm, It had soft faces, and the dead blow peen handle. Is this a child of a dead blow and ball peen put together?

Is the design intent to have less weight/force spread over a larger impact surface area? What kind of jobs would a hammer like this be useful for vs. one of the other Trusty-Cook deadblow hammers?

I would like one like that if it had a flat metal head on one side and the regular dead blow on the other side. I have a nupla that has a metal cap over a regular dead blow and it works great, but it is too big for a lot of situations.

In that picture, how is it really any different from a standard dead blow except for the obvious smaller lead shot holding part in between the heads.

It looks like you put end caps on a regular deadblow ball peen hammer.

Sorry, it doesn't do a thing for me.

However, Strouty's idea of a narrower combination deadblow hammer with a soft face on one side and a steel face on the other side is a winner-winner chicken dinner!!

But, it needs to be offered in red only.

It is an interesting design, but I don't think I would find it any more useful than a regular dead-blow. Maybe if one side were metal like others above mentioned then I could see it being handy.

Looks almost like the old Craftsman style rubber / plastic tipped mallet only with dead blow capabilities.. Close to what you were after?

I can see mixed and matches colors on the tips and handles.. red and blue take me back to my high school.....lol

I need some feedback on the usefulness of something.

For years, we've been adding a keychain/flashlight to purchases of hammers. There has been at least one complaint here in the forum about the keychain.

We're now trying out a "different" light, the COB Flex Light with Magnet. The light has a magnetic bottom and a flexible arm. We've received some feedback on the light.

Should we dump the keychain and go with the flex light? What item do you think is more useful.

The gooseneck flash light looks cooler than the regular one. I'd probably have to mess with it to give much better feedback than that but if it were decently bright it seems like a nice little light to poke in behind stuff and down into an engine bay.

I agree. I’d prefer the magnetic goose neck. I guess that means I’ll have to put together another order!

Another vote for this idea. Would be very handy.

I would find the flashlight more useful than a keychain. Especially if it holds up and has decent replaceable batteries.

FWIW, I prefer the magnet pen lights where the leds go down the side. I’ve found the goosenecks I’ve had don’t stay in position or break.

I'm waiting, too. We need to get some samples in some more hands. A mold is several thousand dollars to make, and we want to get it right. This being said, it's up to us now to get some more samples made.
