Here’s the new model #2.5 alongside our model #2 and model #3 hammers. The #2.5 weighs 39 oz and uses the same handle as the model #2. The head is a modified model #3 head—about a ½ inch shorter on the width, with the diameter being the same. The feel is a bit like a stubby version of the model #3.

We’re waiting on plates to brand the #2.5. I’ll post another photo or two once we start printing.

Thoughts? Perhaps a model #4 head on a much shorter handle?

I agree. The mini max is cool but a #4 head on a #2 handle would be more useful for suspension work.

I expected to have samples ready long before now. We've been super busy, purchase orders have priority over products that are not yet available for sale.

The red 2.5 will be generally available soon. I have some samples leaving today. The first person to jump onto this thread (from the lower 48) and ask for one, will be added to the sample list. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

We'll be putting the new 2.5 up on our website soon. Is there anything we should include in the copy? I believe that we'll have this new model available for our holiday sale in a couple of weeks.

Thanks.

Good morning all.. I've had a chance to use my #2.5 around the home shop (milling machine, lathe, etc) and so far its been great. I have officially retired my lead hammer for use in and around the mill, the 2.5 does the job equally, if not better because there's no bounce when seating work pieces, loosening mill vise mounting hardware, etc. Who's idea was to make the "little brute"? Need to order one for my son's home shop....
