Trusty-Cook Stubby 1 & 2

I’ve posted photos of the new ball peen, and Forum members have given the hammer a great name: the “stubby.” Awesome. We thought it important to give everybody a heads up with what’s going on with the stubby.

Here’re some more photos. I’d said we’re going to have a couple different head configurations, so voilà. We have a stubby ball peen and a stubby flat, or flat-flat. The stubby ball peen is going to be generally available very soon. We’ve run some green and we’re running some red of the stubby ball peen now. We need to brand the hammers. We don’t have a lot of parts for the stubby flat right now. General availability is a bit down the road for the flat-flat.

Some of you might prefer the stubby flat-flat to the stubby ball peen, or vice-versa. Others might want one of each. At some point, both versions for the stubby will be available in three colors—red, green, and blue. Don’t pull the trigger on a red or a green, if you’d rather have a blue. It’s coming soon, too. We also have plans to configure our four standard ball peens with the flat-flat setup.

My grandfather used to make his own versions by cutting down regular hammers! I used to think this a bit eccentric till I inherited his and tried them. Very handy tools, but by cutting down, you don't get the handle proportions correct!

The ball peen is 2.70 lbs and the flat-flat is 2.75 lbs.

Our green ball peens are now a regular item for purchase.

It will take a while for the "green" ball peens to be listed on our website, but the specs and descriptions for the four models are on our website now (https://trustycook.com/product-category/hammers/ball-peen-hammers).

In the interim, before the green ball peens are listed on our website, you can get with me in a PM to place an order or feel free to send an email, if you have my email address.

We are branding the hammers next week. Initially, we won’t be carrying a huge inventory of the green ball peens. We need to determine demand.

If you are interested in the greens, please include your “ship to” information and email in the PM. The Sorceress and I will be processing orders as we have done for recent specials.
