How about some early feedback? Could you put a metal striking cap in the end of the handle. I could get some use out of that.

We're hoping to get some feedback from Forum members.

I've been told that the making the end of the handle metal would be difficult to do. There would be some issues with design and the mold for the hammers.

Sure, I meant what I posted, it is like the hammer of your dreams, of course I don't have one of those cool new fangled ones you posted to compare it to, but I love the stubby flat flat. They do need to be green or blue, the red ones are no good and the orange ones fail prematurely..............

Seriously though, the size allows for access in tight quarters, the weight allows you to actually hit something, the flat flat seems to be better as I don't peen much these days, and the handle length allows it to be stored easily in any tool carrier, glove box, or pouch. Specifically for me, I can have one in my climbing belt pouch and don't have to worry about it falling out or the handle catching on something that makes it tumble a couple hundred feet to the ground.

Did somebody use the "G" word, green? I'm pretty sure that somebody used it. We happen to be running green and red this week.

I really wish there were more options for the stubby flat flat steel faces. I have the SO trusty cook made 36oz stubby steel flat flat I would love smaller sizes though.

Hammers made in USA, Are there any brick and mortar stores that carry your hammers?

Summit. Any matco truck. And a ton others.

They’re trusty cook, which sells under the trusty cook name and various other brands which I’m assuming he can’t name in a public forum.

I’ve never seen a trusty cook in a store but then again i’ve really only ever been in a home depot and a harbor freight.

The private labels we have on our website are the labels we are allowed to post. We were manufacturing 1,100 hammers a week of our model #3 for a private label customer. These hammers along with several other models for this customer were going into a big box store. We were informed (with very little notice) by our customer that they had decide to have the manufacturing of these hammers done offshore. We now have little to no presence in box stores, but our hammers are available on numerous websites that are not our website.

This came in from the plant the other day. Somebody apparently needed a gavel, and this hammer is the result. It's a pretty beefy gavel. I should have a handful of these to give away as Christmas presents. Anybody interested in giving us some feedback? I know that we have some fans of the stubby ball peens and flat-flat hammers.

Thanks.

I’d,like to give this a go seating stock in my milling machine vise.

I could have really used this hammer yesterday working in a tight spot on a ford pickup.

I would put it tonite and let you know how it works out.

We will be off the next couple of days and will be back in Monday. Anybody who has volunteered to put the hammer to use will be included in a drawing. This will take me some time to do when I get back. Please post in this forum, if you want to be added to the list. I will post the names (forum names) of the winners here. I have only two hammers to give out. I had five to start. Somebody around here swiped one, and I've sent two out for testing.

Happy Thanksgiving.

We've selected two forum members in our drawing. These two members will be receiving complimentary cousins.

If either person decides not to take a hammer, we will select another forum member for the cousin.

Thanks for your posts in this thread.

I don't like how the non-marring face has a larger diameter than the hammer body. I see that as a part that can interfere with nearby work surfaces if you are using the steel faced side.

If the steel striking face was the largest face, I think it would be cool to use, even better, both faces the same diameter.

Excellent observation. Agreed 100%.

What I would like to see is that hammer with a ball pein end on the bottom of the handle so you could use it in tight quarters to strike straight down on something. That would give you three options with one hammer.

I second this! When I can't swing, I'll flip the hammer around and usually be able to use the handle to smash something into place.

This is a similar hammer that I use. Having the steel face on one side is great to avoid damage to the hammer, and I use it when separating rod ends.

Notice how the ends are the same size though. I think the TC would be better if it was similar
