I have seen the AA page about this company. Does anyone here have any of their tools to show off?

I have seen the AA page about this company. Does anyone here have any of their tools to show off?

I've only got a few; one socket, one wrench, and one brake spoon. They're all old and fairly non-descript. And, they are all soaking in a tub of EOR at the moment. Maybe they'll look better after a good soak and a buff with a wire brush.

Truth tools are pretty rare; few and far between. As far as I can tell, they don't hold much interest among collectors.

Have you run across any? As I recall, AA has only a handful of examples.

Yeah, I have a ratchet coming. It looks like the one on the AA website, but does not have the "R6" on the handle, just "Truth USA." When I saw it, I had to get it, since I love oddballs and Truth is approaching oddball king status.

If the finish is cadmium, what can I do to clean it while still being safe? Is the danger all in the dust, or can even just washing/handling it cause me issues?

A good soak in the good ol' ATF bath ok?

What does cadmium do to one's system, exactly?:headscrat

carcinogen = causes cancer

i have no idea what the acceptable handleing limits are. Early on in my career, the shipping department where i worked would hand pack cad plated fasteners on a daily basis. I'd be curious if they ever had any health problems

It's cool to see that there are pieces floating around among our members.

Salvage, that is a nice array of screwdrivers there!

I have a 1/2 inch set, labeled "Wards Master".

Also a valve adjuster, and an obstruction wrench.

Digging up an old thread, but I got this old Truth ratchet with some other antique tools for Christmas. It doesn't look like any of the Truth ratchets in this thread or in the Truth article on AA.

There is no reverse lever, the drive is pushed thru the ratchet and flipped over to reverse. The drive is pinned in so it will not cone loose. It appears the head is sealed, although it looks like there is a bronze bushing sandwiched in there. 26 teeth by my count. Also, no model #.

Edit: hard to see in pics but one side of the handle says -TRUTH- in large raised letters, reverse says TRUTH TOOL CO MANKATO MINN.

I've got a set of TRUTH drag link bits. The only pic I have handy is the before/after from the electrolysis tank.

I think I have a 1/2" drive flex head breaker as well.

I am the proud owner of a Truth beam type torque wrench circa 1947. Friend of mine picked it up at a barn sale in Vermont. Bet I'm the only guy in the area with properly torqued lug nuts. Visit their web site, and check the company's history, they now mfg. hardware for windows.
New to the forum, so hello everyone.

Resurrecting an old thread again...
It seems that the Truth tools dont get much respect on GJ. As i happen to have a nice set, i thought it would be nice to share (maybe i showed this before on a different thread). Have considered placing in Classified...

There's a lot more activity and posts in the other "Truth" thread here;

Truth / Truth Tool Co., Mankato, MN / originally Cowden Truth Tool Co. / acquired by OTC 1950 / http://alloy-artifacts.org/truth-tool.html / http://alloy-artifacts.org/truth-tool.html#history / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/to-tell-the-truth-show-us-your-truth-tools.385242/ / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/truth-tools-anyone-own-them.48278/ /
