TRW Automotive was merged into German owned ZF in about 2015, after several rounds of downsizing in the automobile supplier business, fallout from the 2006- 2008 recession.

My cousin worked there as a Sales Engineer for the steering gear group, with one of the oems as his account for around thirty five years. Great job he got right out of college and stayed until retirement, a rarity these days.

When he retired, my source of “engineering sample” parts, ie pistons, valves, gaskets, suspension parts, etc from the TRW catalog dried up.

TRW was a power house around the world at one time sad what the Germans have done to it.

I have a set of TRW line wrenches I bought at a local parts store in the early eighties. I used them as a Dealership mechanic for 10 years, and a hobbyist since then. Good tools
