So for the last few years Ive managed to barely get by with a Sk removeable tip snap ring plier and a harbor freight one both combined barely covered what I needed done (I have used other options like a screwdriver many times). I should have purchased a set a while ago and I probably would be getting at least 30 minutes of my life back.

Anyways I got these 4 USA Snap ring pliers on the right at the swap meet. One says TRW with a B in a hexagonal shape marked on it. The other 3 have the B hexagonal shape. I did a bit of research and found that TRW was In Buffalo NY in 1984. Does that stamp with the B indicate that it was made there? Are the others TRW man. or just made at the same plant? I am stumped and these look a little too nice to be 28 years old. Does anyone else have any snap ring pliers like these with some insight?

TRW did own Williams for a bit. I don't believe that the "B" stands for Buffalo though. I do believe the same manufacturer makes or has made those type of retaining ring pliers for many different brand names.
I've seen that hexagon on other brand ring pliers including Craftsman and Blue-Point. Some have a "J" in the hexagon, some have a "T", some have a "Y". I can't tell you what the letter stands for. Maybe a production date. Take a look at some other brands' pliers. Many are identical.
