Trying to date and identify this vise

I have a vise that is a Family piece. It came from the shop of my Step-Grandfather who worked for Boeing in the Red Barn days. I think it's a Prentiss No.5, but there are no marks on it. Swivel jaw, fixed base, about 150 lbs. Any help would be appreciated

Vise Info Thread

Moody 420P Coachmakers vise. 4-1/4” jaws that opens to 11-3/4” Interesting...I see on the spreadsheet; this is the only listing for Moody. Anyone ever heard of them before or know what part of the country they are from? Are they a subsidiary of another MFR?

Look at the flat pad just behind the pin for the swivel, that is where mine is marked but is hard to see.

Mine has no marks, I checked all of usual spots. The surface is grungy, but there don't appear to be any marks. There are some things just behind the apron, but I think they are tool marks. They look runic, but far from regular. 9 1/2 inches wide open

It's got a fixed base with a lip that fits over the edge of the bench. The catalogs show both styles.

I was referring to the key on the swivel jaw....

Ah, my mistake. Mine is just a friction fit. There are some tiny threads at the bottom, but I don't think there is anything for them to mate with.

I doubt that is the original pin.
