I've googled & found some but either want way too much or they are too shallow. It's alwasy something. Of course I've searched around on here, but no solid leads.

Specific wants:
Metal or sturdy wood frame
At least 16" wide - wider the better
At least 16" deep front to back
Single drawer 6" deep
or double drawer with at least one deeper 4" drawer.
Tan, black, darker gray

Don't need them to lock

If you are going to use wood, have you considered making them yourself? Grizzly.com sells drawer slides that screw to the sides of the drawers. They also sell plans to make your own drawers.

I've looked for something for a year or so now-hanging drawers to go under a shelf in the coat closet (for gloves, hats, etc.). I figured they would be easy to find - or at least find hanging rails that I could make drawers for. They're really uncommon. I've essentially figured out that the best way is to build a box and put a regular drawer (side glides) in it vs. one that simply hangs.

Because I wanted some specific sizes I ended up making my own.
Still to finish off but they are full of stuff and work well.

These ones are 25"x20"x either 2" or 6"

You could always order some replacement drawers for a Craftsman box along with the slides. All you would have to make is some sides to hold the slides.

Here's what i did for my pliers etc.

I laminated some leftover 7/16" ply from the shop build, added full extension drawer slides and the result is in the picture.

You'll have to excuse the mess ....

try and find an intermediate tool box and just mount it under the bench or whatever. Usually you can find the full depth ones (18" or so) and they are 26" wide. Might cost you a little bit but it be lockable and have ball bearing slides and be plenty sturdy.

The issue youll have is finding one like that that has a deeper drawer but im sure its out there.
