trying to get out cheap

I have a 24x30 slab finished was wondering going with 10 foot walls stick built 12 inch centers 2x4. can the 26 guage sheets of metal be attached directly two the 2x4 i plan on moving in 2 or 3 years just need something decent. was qouted 670.00 for the trusses on 5 foot centers a total of 6 made out of 2x6. was also wondering if 16 inch center spacing on 2x4 will work any help is appreciated

First for steel siding you need to run 2x4's horizonal to attach the steel. I would use 2x6's on 16" or 24" centers for the added insulation space. I would also add another truss so they are on 4' centers for added snow carring capacity.

For the little bit of added expense now it shoud be repaid in added value when you sell

i live in texas it dont snow here why couldnt the 2x4's run vertical like normal would i run into problems attaching the panels. they are 3 feet wide coverage panels.
