Hoping someone can help me with this. We have an older trane central ac in the rental house and I'm trying to get access to the A coil to clean it out and investigate some moisture issues.
I'm not able to remove the cover from the air handler - all the screws are out but the lineset passes through the panel and prevents it from lifting away. Other units I've worked on the lines pass through in a spot separate from the main access panel, but not here. Should I take a cut off wheel to the panel and cut out where the lines pass through? How would you seal that back up if so?
