I have narrowed my floor finish choices down to TS210 and ballistix sc. I will be using the shop mostly for hobby automotive work some light fab and the occasional wood project.

The floor is about 6 months old power troweled and does not bead water.

My main question with the ballistix is if it is a single coat or multiple coat system I feel like I have read everything but can't find that answer if it takes multiple coats. The other question I have with the sc is if it requires etching. From what I understand the ts210 doesn't as long as the concrete doesn't bead water and the water soaks in a reasonable amount of time.

Ts210 gets a plus for me based on concrete sealers USA customer service. I submitted a question through their website and had a call back within a couple hours from an actual person keep in mind I didn't request a callback just expected a short email answer. This isn't a knock against any customer service for ballistix as I have never reached out to them.

As far as ease of install they seem to be about apples to apples pending the above questions about sc.

The BallistiX you would want to use is the 2-Layer No Prep Kit with SC. It's a two-coat kit that consists of the BallistiX acrylic primer and BallistiX SC. If the concrete will absorb water, then etching should not be required. You can double check that with ArmorPoxy. It will perform better than TS210, but it's more expensive as well.

Hi, The 210 is a sealer with less resistance to automotive fluids and such. In our opinon there isn't a comparison. As per above, use the 2-layer kit so you get a beautiful even finish.
