TSC "Satisfaction Guaranteed" tools

I've noticed many of TSC's "Traveler" tools (or perhaps more accurately called, where Harbor Freight got their stuff from) have a "satisfaction guaranteed' stamp on the package. This statement is usually reiterated under the warranty section on the product as well. Their website doesn't seem to elaborate on what that means exactly. The only thing I could find related to that was a blurb about getting a refund or exchange if not completely satisfied within 30 days from the purchase date.

Has anyone had experience on what the guarantee really means? It seems to imply a lifetime warranty of sorts, but when I see it written on floor jacks and air hoses- tools that are only typically warranted elsewhere for a year or two- I begin to wonder.

Hope everyone is having a happy holiday :)

I've bought some (probably more than I realize!) Definitely HF mid to lower end quality. I haven't had to warranty anything yet (homeowner, general usage)but I think it's meant more towards general use no worries if you break it, under correct use.

That being said, I am aware of what quality I'm buying, I use it appropriately and have been satisfied with my purchases.

Holiday is going well here!

I can't speak for their "Traveler" tools but their "JOBSMART" brand of tools carry a "lifetime warranty"......
I bought a 6pc set of torx screwdrivers about a year ago ($9.95) they are made in China but are well made and the tips are strong and they don't mangle up and twist from moderate use.
Well, the other week I had a need for the T10 driver (which I hadn't used yet) and I noticed the shaft was driven into the handle crooked (wobbled when turned) it was ever so slight but it drove me crazy! :eyecrazy:
I took it back to see if I'd be able to get it replaced......as I walked in the manager ask if he could help me and I showed him the driver. He said to go pick one off the shelf and when he was through with another customer he take care of it.
I walked back to the drivers and they didn't have a T10 loose....just the (sealed) 6pc set.
When the manager was free I told him and he took and cut open the set and (after checking to see if it was straight) handed me the T10 from the set  and asked if he could do anything else for me!
I thanked him and walked out with my new replacment driver......

I was shocked!!! (but happy)

As Consumers Report says a warranty is worth what a company chooses it to be. They can put anything in print and find excuses to not honor it or be very good about honoring it. Some go above and beyond and others shaft everybody. This is where reviews come in handy. I always check before investing in anything expensive.
