I’m looking to add more insulation to my steel building ceiling and at the same time address an improperly installed ceiling vapor barrier. The vapor barrier attached to the insulation that lays between purlins was not made continuous at the purlins so I have condensation unless I carefully manage interior humidity.
My tentative solution is to attach TSX8510 foam (https://www.rmax.com/tsx-8510) to the purlins and use the manufacturer’s seaming tape to accomplish the vapor barrier. The foam is supposed to meet fire code without a thermal barrier.
Anyone here have any experience with that foam?
