At my job there comes a point when lots of stainless steel tubing needs to be ran for days and days, the tubing is mostly 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4". The company bought all new benders but we still have to have our own cutters. I have recently purchased the Ridgid stainless steel cutter for up to 1 1/8" tubing, and I must say it is built well. I find myself also in need of a close quarter cutter for the tight spots, but I have only found one mini cutter made for stainless tubing and it is a Reed. Is there any other good mini cutter that will stand up to the stainless? A coworker has a ridgid, but I see ridgid does not offer a cutting wheel for stainless in these small cutters. Can a regular blade hold up to the task? What do you guys use?

If you like the small Ridgid, buy it and buy spare cutting wheels.
Actually, I would have spare cutting wheels in my tool box for the big one. Stainless has to put a lot of wear on those !

Get the Ridgid and buy spare cutters.
I have a Ridgid 151 I inherited from the uncle. Must be 50-60 years old. Put a new cuter on it and it works like new !

Lenox they have the best thumb cutters. The thumb wheel is square so it easier to pt pressure on the cutter. The best larger tubing cutters are also made by Swagelok. Which is man by ridged. They have ball bearings for rollers. They are so smooth and seemingly cut faster. I don't know if can buy then through ridged.
Get some Swagelok cutting wheels they will be expensive but don't break as easily. They are made just for stainless. They are I guess harder. They last for long time.

Just get replacement cutting wheels made for cutting stainless steel.
Reed,rigid and imperial all make wheel s for cutting stainless steel tubing and the ss wheels have different part #s.
