Hi Everyone!

I've sufficiently decided I'm going with radiant heat that I'm playing with zones for the pex tubing.

I have 4 zones defined, but am hoping some of you will share tips, tricks, regrets you've collected in your own projects. Things such as:

1) Should I create a zone that acts as a perimeter around the pad
2) Safe distances from areas where I plan on framing a wall

I am currently collecting additional bids, and finding someone that'll work with me, as I plan on DIYing the pex, pad insulation, etc.

You don't need a designated loop for the perimeter. Just run the suplly from the manifold to the outside walls(perimeter) and work your way 'in' on the way back to the return manifold.

Six inches from the framed wall to the first loop is standard(IMHO).

Hope this helps
