I came across some tubular wrench ends on ebay - I have not seen them before, but they do look interesting. With these wrench ends you can attach handles 24 or 36". Saw snap on ones on ebay - but couldnt find them at snapon.com. JH williams has a bunch in their catalog, and ebay.

Anyone else sell these type of wrenches ? I want a offset 3/4" and attach a long handle onto it.. I find myself needing more leverage, and don't have it. I cant seem to find anyone selling a long offset box end wrench. I'm thinking these tubular wrench ends would do the trick for me.

"Tubular Wrench End"

I have a couple of those in the bottom of the toolbox... One is a piece of 1.5" by .1" wall 2024T6 tubing 36" long, the other is a piece of 1" by .090" wall 4130 tubing about 18" long.

They're a universal fit. :)

AFAIK, no one else makes these. I have looked because I am also interested the bigger sizes. Several guys I work with have these. Seems Snap-On and Williams are the ones who have offered them. Now it just down to Williams.

Here is tube wrench end. The handles as the OP said come in several different lengths and also diameters as the wrench sizes increase.

I'm not sure these would exactly fit the bill, but check out these Proto and Cornwell wrenches I have selling on eBay right now. Should sell pretty cheap.

As far as I have been able to determine, Snap On no longer makes them. I have several, both in this style, and in flare nut, and open end, and since they are no longer shown in the latest Snap On catalog, I called their corportate office, and the lady was not able to find them listed. I asked my dealer, and he said that Snap On has a discontinued product stock, and that he could try there to see if any are available. I do not know if they are still listed in the Industrial catalog, but if they truely have been discontinued, it will be one of the few times Snap On has ever stopped making a tool (other than speciality wrenches and other limited application 'special' tools.

BTW, I think the first question I posted on this site was about the availability of these wrenches.

Snap-on used to offer a small socket set with a nut driver in a 1/8" drive size they discontinued years ago as well. It seems they do stop offering products from time to time.

Yeah, I recall that 1/8 drive set leaving and then coming back, I could have only used it once. There were some very small bolts on the inside of the stock radio in my 89 chevy truck I had to use pliers to fix the radio. I dont know if I should be more ashamed of using the wrong tool, or being so cheap as to fix a stock radio.

Nice info.. so far williams is the only one to make a 3/4", and its not a offset.

You should also try looking for a Snap-On OH24. It is a long flex-socket combo wrench they used to make for alignments. It's about 16" long. Unfortunately this is another tool series they discontinued so you might have a hard time finding one.
