Tuff seal issue

Hello,

I am in the midst of installing 2600 square feet of Tuff Seal. 2huge pallets arrived the other day. Things we're going great, laying down a bunch of slate coloured tiles. Then I went to switch to a line of yellow ones and the fit wasn't right. The first two fit in the slate ones okay and then they want off with a slight difference in length. By the 5th tile, the groves weren't linign up at all and there was a difference of about 1/8 inch. I know that you have to lay them out to let them acclimate but I am also wondering if the different she lots make them expand and contract at different rates.

I have now left them loose on the floor and have cranked the heat up and will leave it at about 70 degrees overnight. As a test, I also put together one slate and one yellow together and then drew a black line across the joint. I am wondering if the line won't line up by tomorrow.

Has anyone experienced this?

HMMMM

I recently laid out Tuff Shield in my garage -- thankfully for my wallet, not 2,600 square feet worth!!!!!

It was cold, but not like it is now (it was in the high 20s / low 30s) when I put it in. The pallet sat in my garage for about 5-6 days before I put it in. I didn't run any heat during that time. While installing (over the course of 2 days), I did run heat. I didn't have any alignment problems, everything snapped together with the same amount of force/persuasion from the first tile to the last.

Jorgen will be along shortly and will either address your issue here, or give you someone to contact for support.

An 1/8" difference sounds enormous over 5 tiles based on my experience.

Interested in the outcome, and hope you post some photos --- sounds like you have one hell of a garage!

Thanks. I hope he does. Unfortunately I was not able to purchase the flooring through him As I am in Canada. We had to buy direct from Avanta. Between a friend and myself, we bought about 2200 tiles. My load alone was about 5,500 pounds!!

Here's what I am experiencing. The first two tiles put down line up nicely. By the third and forth, you can see the deflection and how to tabs and grooves don't line up

Hi
"Tuff Seal" is not a RaceDeck style or brand of flooring- I think you are thinking of our patented TuffShield? which is very different. I am not too familiar with TuffSeal, but from what I can see in your pics, being a soft PVC material you are experiencing significant expansion issues due to the material it is made from and/or there is a manufacture sizing issue between the colors?

I had the exact same problem it is critical you do one row at a time. Don't do it like shingling a roof. It took a girl at the factory had to explain it to me. They stretch I almost gave up but once I got going it was a snap. Be patient as I had the exact same problem. As you see from the picture we had 5 guys ready for a quick install but we gave up. 3 days later when I realized my mistake it took me 14 hrs. by myself mainly because of a lot of cutting.

Oh SNAP!

Details are important!!! I misread TUFF SEAL for TuffShield. Duh.

So sorry for mis-associating your product. I don't have enough good things to say about it and also you. Sorry.

I sent pictures to Sharon and, indeed they are from a different batch and, no matter how much I tug on them, they will never work. She is sending me new ones.
