Any distributors in Canada for Tuff Seal tile?
The shipping cost, duty/taxes and CDN dollar are making it very difficult to purchase.

Anyone in Canada purchased Tuff Seal tile?

Back in the day this was a great company, I would know . Unfortunately they are struggling. I just baught garagefloor.com from them. It's a long story not appropriate for sharing here.

Hopefully they will pull through. I bought my first commercial building from Tom. Sold one through him too.

If you would call the office tomorrow and talk to Kristi (ext 204) she found a new line of PVC tile that looks promising. It has the square edges etc. Would love to get a job or two out there and could help out some on price. If it's water tight you want there are ways to seal TrueLock PVC tiles too.

I finished doing a large Tuff Seal tile install a few weeks ago. I dealt directly with Sharon at their head office as no one in Canada carries it. Between a friend and I, we purchased about 5,000 square feet of it. My install was a little bigger then my friends. I recall that my shipment weighed about 5,700 pounds!!

After a bit of a hiccup with some of the product, installation went quite smoothly. I used 3 different colours and parts of the floor were quite wavy but it worked out. After laying it down, I put 3 coats of ZEP floor sealer on it. If it works, here is a picture (although the the shop is quite dirty right now from ongoing construction)

PS. There is no duty on import, just GST.

Nice Floor!!!! See if you can find someone out there that stocks Hilway as opposed to ZEP when your ready to redo. Have a look at MSDS and performance on both, especially when it comes to removing.
