Tuff-Seal Tiles and bottom up moisture?

Is there any consideration for moisture coming up through the slab with tuff seal tile? I know the big draw with these tiles is that they are water tight which is nice but does that mean there will be issues if moister is coming up through the slab?

Oh and, man, are they expensive...

If you have a problem with moisture, they are not going to fix it. They will allow the concrete to breathe in a typical environment, but they will trap moisture of you have to much.

Use TrueLock B4 before any garage floor tile to densify the concrete and add some waterproofing--top down.

Do you truly need a watertight application? We have similar tiles for less that keep moisture on top. If you need true watertight they are the way to go but you need to deal with all joints and borders.

Thanks for the response. Not looking to fix anything, per se, just trying not to create other issues by trapping moisture in.

LOTS of options if watertight is not a necessity. Typically people need the Tuffseal when their is an issue such as a basement below etc. It is a beautiful tile with great workmanship, but if watertight is not a necessity we can help you with lower priced options -- or the tuffseal if that is the way you want to go
